LAMES covers a wide area in its Agricultural mechani zation and engineering service. It provides mechanized agricultural farming to small scale and union farmers at a low and stable price. In addition, LAMES, through its production engineering department, manufactures and distributes different agricultural implements at a low price to end users

Through its social responsibility program, LAMES manufactures and donates chairs, desks, doors, windows and other teaching aid materials to the local public schools. In addition, LAMES also runs a free vocational on job training program to students interested in the field.

The company also has a family substitution program for its employees. When an employee retires or cannot fulfill his responsibilities within the company, priority is given to that employee’s family members in filling the vacant positions.

At times of national disasters like the DreDawa flood of 2006 or the displacement of 600,000 people due to violence in 2017, LAMES provided considerable financial aid to the affected families through government relief programs.
